This setup features two sensitive condenser microphone capsules with a -28dB sensitivity, perfect for capturing subtle sounds with minimal self-noise. It’s great for recording diverse audio like sound effects, ambient environments, podcasts, musical instruments, and ASMR content.
Please note, the dummy head doesn’t include a battery box. To ensure proper functioning, the microphones need an external power supply of at least 3V, which is commonly provided by most audio recorders. The shielded 1.5m microphone cable terminates in a 3.5mm gold-plated stereo jack for convenience.
Microphone Specifications
Authentic earlobes are a critical aspect of an authentic binaural microphone. Meticulous attention has been devoted to crafting silicone ear models that closely mimic the natural anatomy of human earlobes. These ears are fashioned from high-tensile strength silicone rubber, ensuring both safety and durability. Their flexibility and lifelike texture offer a sensation akin to genuine human skin. Each ear is intricately cast from molds derived from actual human ears, ensuring an incredibly realistic replication.
Crafted from fiberglass, this dummy head mirrors the size and shape of a natural human head, ensuring accurate ear spacing. Inside, sound-absorbing foam enhances its acoustics. With a female 1/4 x 20 thread at its base, it seamlessly mounts onto tripods, weighing approximately 2-2.5kg (4.5-5.5 lbs).
A standout feature includes two detachable ball heads, both with 1/4 x 20 threads, enabling the mounting of a recording device and a small camera. The Binaural Enthusiast microphone, boasting lifelike dummy head shape, silicone earlobes, and hyper-sensitive microphones, delivers a distinct 3D audio effect akin to human hearing. Incorporating a camera further amplifies the realism and quality of recordings.
Please note that minor imperfections like tiny air bubble holes or fine scratches on the ears or head do not compromise the functionality or the sound quality of the recordings.
